Nature's Food Patch Natural Market & Cafe (est.1987) is a community grocery store dedicated to offering a complete selection of quality organic and natural products. Inside our 22,000 SF  store we carry north Pinellas County's largest array of organic produce, bulk foods, groceries, meat & seafood, specialty wines & beers, cheeses & olives, herbs, vitamins, pet supplies, unique housewares & natural bodycare. Our popular deli serves up international, natural food cuisine. You'll find a sensational salad bar, hot bar & juice bar with fresh juices, smoothies & organic, Fair Trade coffee & tea. Enjoy all of this in our fabulous new café!

The store has been enthusiastically embraced by our health minded community and has continued to grow, going through a major relocation and remodel in 1996 and another remodel and expansion in 2010! "The Patch", as it is affectionately called by the locals, is a friendly gathering place, known for its commitment to organic foods, quality natural products, community involvement and health education.

Meet Our Staff
Store Director
Laurie Powers-Shamone -- Laurie has led Nature's Food Patch for over 25 years. With lots of natural foods experience, she exemplifies the spirit of diversity & sustainable conscious living that Nature's Food Patch embodies.
General Manager
Sean Balsley -- Sean has worked at Nature's Food Patch for over 23 years. With a vast supply of health food related information and experience, Sean proves to be an integral asset for Nature's Food Patch.
Store Manager
John Klein -- John has been with Nature's Food Patch since July 2010. He has over 30 years of experience in the food industry, with customer service being another one of his specialties! He is always willing to help and assist our customers & employees to the best of his abilities.
Business Office Manager
Rebekah Santiago -- Rebekah has been with Nature's Food Patch since April 2002. She oversees our accounting and human resources team.
Human Resources Manager
Dara Scholtz -- Dara was first with the patch from 1995-2000. After 12 years of management and HR experience she came back and returned as our HR Manager in July 2012. She is in charge of hiring our employees and managing the HR functions.
Marketing Director
Cheryl Rosselle -- Cheryl has served Nature's Food Patch since December 2006.  She is currently our Marketing Director, planning all events, lectures and promotions, as well as designing our advertisements and other marketing materials.
IT Manager
Cyndi Briggs -- Cyndi has been working at The Patch since February 2002, and has many years of experience in the health food retail industry. She maintains the company database which is of high importance for store operations.
Store Manager
Michael Henkel -- 

Mike has worked at Nature's Food Patch since August 1998.  He is our Store Manager and also manages the Bulk Department.

Wellness Manager
Bill Minster -- Bill has been with us since November 2007. He has 16 years experience in the Natural Foods Industry. Here at the Patch, he sources & purchases wellness products found in our store, inspecting ingredients to be sure new items keep up with our high quality standards.
Produce Manager
Ed Lucia -- Ed has worked on an Organic farm and garden during his 20's and 30's.  He came to Nature's Food Patch in June 2002 and previously was our Produce Buyer.
Food Service Director
Theo Tillson -- Theo was our Food Service Director from 1997-2002 and returned in 2009. He has over 30 years in the restaurant industry.  Theo’s passion is for food & people. He has a wealth of knowledge in the natural food industry & has a well-developed sense of healthy, tasty dishes.

Food Service Manager - Deli
Avery Fox -- Avery has been with us since July 2005, managing the kitchen and the deli. Prior to joining our team she has held many management positions in restaurants throughout the Tampa Bay Area. She love working with unique ingredients and whipping up “healthy and yummy” food.
Meat & Seafood Manager
John Jaksa -- 

John has been at NFP since April 2012. He has over fourteen years of experience in meat and seafood with a focus on natural and organic products. He loves to share his knowledge of humanely-raised, antibiotic and hormone-free, vegetarian-fed meats and poultry as well as eco-friendly and sustainable seafood.

Store Policies / Services
Quality Standards

Groceries & Bulk
We are happy to guarantee the quality and freshness of our products. If an item does not meet these standards, we will give a refund or credit with a sales receipt and the returned item. All returns must be made within 30 days. Store credit, but no refund, may be given when no receipt is available.
Produce
We are happy to guarantee the quality and freshness of our products. If an item does not meet these standards, we will give a refund or credit with a sales receipt and the returned item. All returns must be made within 7 days. Store credit, but no refund, may be given when no receipt is available.
Vitamins & Supplements
Vitamins must be accompanied by a receipt, and returned within 30 days of purchase. No refund or store credit will be given on any vitamins or supplements returned without a receipt.
Senior Discounts
Customers over the age of 60 receive a 10% discount on all vitamins and supplements, everyday, if they are not already discounted. Seniors day is the first Wednesday of every month.
Wellness Sale Days
Wellness sale days are the third Tuesday of each month and the Wednesday immediately following. A 20% discount is given on all supplements & body care except those already discounted. Please keep your receipts! Absolutely no vitamin returns without a receipt. No exceptions!!!
Special Ordering
We make every effort to find the product you are looking for. As long as the product is available to us through our distributors, we can order it for you with no extra charge. In fact, you may be able to save money. Please call or visit our store to place a special order.
Full Case Discounts
Customers receive a 10% discount on the purchase of a full case, but not if the item is already on sale. Seniors do not receive a case discount on top of a senior discount.
Returned Check Fee
There is a $25.00 fee for returned checks.
Return Policies
Photo ID required for returns! Please keep your receipts! Absolutely no vitamin returns without a receipt. No exceptions!!!
